Lehr Gets a Shove Through; West Back From the Brink

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Keith Lehr limped and called a raise to 135,000 by Biao Ding, then jammed the 9?8?7? flop for 215,000 to force out Ding.

Michael Moncek limped and Jeffrey Davoud raised the pot to 135,000. Jonathan West was forced all-in for 30,000 from the big blind and Moncek called. On the 10?10?9? flop, Moncek check-called for 150,000 before they checked down the 3? turn and K? river.

Davoud announced aces and showed the A?A? first. Moncek revealed his A?Q?J?9? for a straight and won the side pot, as West had flopped a full house with the J?10?9?2?.

Soon after, West got a shove through and almost doubled after his triple-up.

Dan Shak opened to 100,000 from under the gun for Noah Boeken to defend the big blind, then check-folded the A?6?5? flop when Shak bet 150,000. The latter revealed the A?A?8?3? and Nick Schulman added a rather dry "story checks out".

Last but not least, Oliver Weis checked the A?6?2?5?K? river and Ren Lin bet 275,000. Weis was covered by that and reluctantly folded as the tournament continued with 23 contenders still in the mix.

Derwiche Leaves West on Fumes

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Jonathan West opened in middle position before Imad Derwiche potted it from the cutoff. West called and they were off to a flop with less than pot behind and West covering.

The 6?3?3? flop hit the felt and after a little accounting and a few moments in the tank West moved all in and Derwiche snap called.

Imad Derwiche: A?A?J?8?
Jonathan West: A?8?4?7?

The 9? turn brought in a sweat but the K? river was a blank and West would ship all but his whole stack over to Derwiche as hand for hand rages on.

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Yuri Dzivielevski
Yuri Dzivielevski

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Biao Ding and Noah Boeken, the former bet 200,000 into around 500,000 on the J?J?10?5?10? river. Boeken gave it brief consideration and folded.

Isaac Haxton then limped the button and Yuri Dzivielevski raised to 105,000 in the big blind for Haxton to call. Dzivielevski continued for 135,000 on the 10?7?3? flop to earn a call and bet the pot for 390,000 on the 2? turn.

Haxton required two time bank extensions and then folded.

Haxton Wins Small Showdown Pot

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Noah Boeken opened to 90,000 on the button and Isaac Haxton called in the big blind.

The 7?3?2? flop was checked and the same then also happened on the K? turn as well as the 2? river.

"Tens," Haxton announced and rolled over the 10?10?6?4?. Boeken sent his cards into the muck and Haxton earned the pot.

There are still 23 players remaining and no further all-in showdown has taken place yet two spots away from the money.

Weis Piles; Lin Tanks

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

One hand after losing a chunk of his stack to Stephen Chidwick, Oliver Weis opened from the small blind to 85,000. Ren Lin was in the big blind and called.

The 5?10?2? flop landed and after only a few seconds Weis moved all in for 205,000. Lin went into the tank and burned a time bank but eventually he landed on a fold.

Hand for hand play continues...

Li Gets a Shove Through

Level 15 : Blinds 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Yuri Dzivielevski raised the pot to 90,000 out of the small blind and Nick Schulman repotted to 270,000 in the big blind for essentially half of his stack. The Brazilian tanked and then folded, forfeiting the chips and two time bank extensions.

Tong Li was then all-in for 345,000 from under the gun. Only Stephen Chidwick was still to act with 135,000 out in front on the button and reluctantly folded.

No Showdown in Sight

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Nick Schulman raised to 60,000 and then folded when Chad Eveslage reraised to 210,000 in the small blind.

Soon after, Noah Boeken tangled with Dan Shak and check-called the A?J?8?10? turn for 75,000. Boeken checked again the 6? river and Shak sized up to 150,000. Boeken used two time banks and folded.

The same table then saw Biao Ding open and Schulman call. They checked to the Q?J?5?2?J? river on which Ding bet 125,000. Schulman, likewise, used a time bank extension and folded.

Winter Finds a Double

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Ren Lin opened in middle position to 85,000 before the action folded to Sean Winter on the button who raised to 245,000 with just 5,000 behind. Lin opted to flat-call rather than put Winter all in and they were off to see three.

The Q?5?J? flop landed and Lin quickly put Winter all in and was met with a call.

Sean Winter: A?A?9?9?
Ren Lin: A?9?6?8?

"I just wanted to gamble" Lin said as Winter attempted to examine what he was up against.

The Q? turn and K? river brought no help for Lin and Winter was the proud owner of a brand new pile of chips.

Lampropoulos and Lehr Chip Up

Level 14 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Oliver Weis raised to 85,000 from the hijack and Nikolaos Lampropoulos repotted on the button to force out everyone including the initial raiser.

Keith Lehr then raised to 85,000 from under the gun and Biao Ding called in the cutoff. The K?7?5? flop saw Lehr bet 100,000 with 220,000 behind and Ding let go.

After both hands were completed, floor staff announced that hand-for-hand mode would begin two spots away from the money bubble which had already been requested previously from several of the contenders in the field.
