Feldman Takes Another Bad Beat

Cornel Andrew Cimpan

Peter 'Nordberg' Feldman can't seem to catch a break here this afternoon, as he's suffered two nasty bad beats in the last hour of play.

Most recently, he got involved in a pot with Cornel Andrew Cimpan in which Cimpan moved all in before the flop and Feldman made the call holding {A-Spades} {K-Hearts}; Cimpan's {A-Hearts} {8-Spades} was dominated.

Feldman had to love the {9-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} {K-Clubs} flop, but as you all know, it's never easy...

When the {7-Diamonds} fell on the turn, Tournament Director Matt Savage commented, "Cornel can still win the hand with a six on the river to make a straight." You know how the rest goes. When the dealer burned and revealed the river, it was indeed a six... the {6-Hearts}. Was there ever any doubt?

An ecstatic Cimpan now sits with a little over 400,000 in chips while Feldman has plummeted even further down the ranks. He is now officially the short stack, with right around 330,000.
