Salsberg Doubles Through Selbst, Selbst Triples Next Hand

Matt Salsberg led out for 5,000 on a board of {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Vanessa Selbst moved all in for effectively 17,975, and Salsberg immediately called.

Salsberg{q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Selbst{a-Clubs}{10-}

Selbst needed any club but the {9-Clubs} to make a flush, or an eight or a king for a straight. The {6-Spades} bricked on the river however, and Selbst was left with just 1,775 chips.

The very next hand, several players limped, including "King" Dan Smith. Selbst moved all in from the small blind, and the action folded to Smith who tank-folded as well. A player in the button made the call however, and the hands were opened.

Selbst{k-Spades}{9-Spades}
Opponent{a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The {j-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} flop gave Selbst a flush, but any spade would give her opponent a higher flush. Neither the turn ({8-Hearts}) or the river ({a-Clubs}) were spades though, and Selbst more than doubled to about 5,500 chips.
