Hands 1-4: Yachou Chips Up

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Hand 1: Fredrik Andersson raised from the button to 65,000 and Kees van Brugge three-bet from the small blind to 170,000. All other players folded.

Hand #2: Jason Wheeler raised from the hijack to 60,000 and Van Brugge three-bet from the button to 165,000. Farid Yachou called from the big blind and Wheeler folded.

The flop came down {4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and Yachou check-called 150,000. On the turn the {4-Diamonds} hit and both players checked. The river was the {3-Spades} and both players checked again. Yachou showed {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Van Brugge mucked.

"Nice call," Van Brugge said, after claiming he had a flush draw.

Hand #3: Steve Warburton received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #4: Joep van den Bijgaart raised to 65,000 from the cutoff and Yachou called from the button. The flop came down {8-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Van den Bijgaart picked up the pot with a bet of 70,000.

Six Hopefuls Will Battle it Out For the WPT Amsterdam Crown Today!

Two Dutchman, an American, a Swede, a Brit and a guy from Morocco walk into Holland Casino, but only one will walk out a World Poker Tour champion and €215,000 richer.

Today is the day during which we will crown the first ever WPT champion in Amsterdam, and an exciting group of six remains. Chip leader Steve Warburton has to be the favorite coming into the day, but the other players are strong and prove to be no walkover.

Local heroes Joep van den Bijgaart and Kees van Brugge will have the biggest rail inside the Holland Casino, and the atmosphere is expected to be lively and full of excitement. Jason Wheeler can also almost be considered a local player, as the American loves the city of Amsterdam and already won the High Roller event for €125,000 earlier this week.

Fredrik Andersson was the tournament chip leader at the completion of both Day 1b and Day 3, and the Swede has been riding the rush all throughout this event.

Finally there is Farid Yachou, a Moroccan born Dutchman who's playing in his first ever live tournament. Yachou did not show any fear during this event and he will be a dangerous competitor as well.

So, there you have it. All six players left are very well capable of taking this event down, and PokerNews.com will bring you all the live action throughout this day.
