6,000 High Roller: Jason Wheeler Wins the WPT Amsterdam High Roller (125,000)

It wasn't a long Day 3, and not a lot of hands were played, but Jason Wheeler pretty much won all of them. In the last hand, Jack Salter was down to 545,000 and he open-shoved from the button. Wheeler made the call.

Jason Wheeler: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Jack Salter: {K-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Wheeler's good friend Bryn Kenney leaned over, and Wheeler announced what the situation was. "Threes against king-seven," he said.

Wheeler made a small fist pump when the flop was spread {3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, but he wasn't out of the woods just yet.

"A four would be a fun card" Salter said.

The {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn and Salter already put down his head a little. The {8-Clubs} on the river was a blank, and Wheeler and Salter shook hands.

Salter congratulated Wheeler, with the latter elated to finally win in Holland.

"Finally get that trophy in Amsterdam!" he exclaimed.

Wheeler took home 125,000, and Salter got 90,000 for his runner-up finish. Wheeler told the tournament organization he plans on entering the Main Event later today, but first he's going to hang out with Kenney on this beautiful day in the city.
