The Good Ol' River Check Raise

It must have been weeks ago since we saw a proper river check raise, but just now we saw a good one. Good for Jens Lübbe from Germany that is, not so good for David Boyaciyan.
Boyaciyan opened the hijack for 400 and Lübbe in the small blind was the sole caller. Lübbe check called a bet of 650 on 
and another 1,250 on the 
turn.
The river came the 
and Lübbe checked a third time. Boyaciyan picked 2,200 and moved the bet forward. Lübbe had his cards in his hands, and for a second we thought he was going to muck 'em. Instead he picked up 8,500 in chips and said "Raise!"
Boyaciyan hesitated for a bit, before releasing his hand.
