It Is Time for the Main Event here in Marrakech
The flagship event of the 2017 PMU.fr WPT DeepStacks Marrakech poker festival will kick off in one hour from now as of noon local time at the beautiful Casino de Marrakech, the biggest and most-well known casino in the region. All previous side events already provided plenty of action at the tables with a mix of local players, and many hopefuls from nearby countries in Western Europe such as Spain and France.
Some 50 players qualified for the MAD 13,200 Main Event (�1,200) via the title sponsor of the tournament, French online poker site PMU.fr, and among those expected to join the action for the sole starting day are also their team pros Johan Guilbert, Erwann Pecheux, Francois Tosques and Sarah Herzali. Guilbert may show up later than the others though after battling on the final table of the MAD 20,000 High Roller that concluded in the early morning hours.
On Day 1, a total of 11 levels of 60 minutes each are scheduled with a break every two levels and a dinner break, with bagging and tagging expected to take place after 1 a.m. local time. All players receive 30,000 in chips and the registration remains open until the start of level nine, with optional re-entries available during the same period as well.
