After 11 levels of 60 minutes each on Day 1, only 153 hopefuls out of a 433-entry strong field bagged up chips and will return to the stunning Casino de Marrakech at noon local time for Day 2 of the 2017 PMU.fr WPT DeepStacks Marrakech MAD 13,200 (�1,200) Main Event. One year ago, the very same tournament drew a field of 396 entries and that number was not only met, but the largest WPTDeepStacks field outside of North America emerged.

Leading the field into the penultimate tournament day is MAD 20,000 High Roller 9th place finisher Ludovic Moryousef with 375,000 after scoring a big double in the last hands of the previous night. He is followed by Belmehel Dja Daouadji (321,500), Spain's Daniel (275,600), Michel Leibgorin (261,000) and Emile Carette (253,000).

Other big stacks and notables include BAUTIST (228,000), Jean Koja (210,800), the Marrakech regulars Tsunamy (188,500), Fadhil Farag (117,000) and Fouad Zouiten (110,000). Also through to Day 2 are Smain Mamouni (134,000), Louis Linard (126,400), Sonny Franco (117,100), Alexandre Reard (99,500), Damien L'Hommeau (90,400), [Removed:146] (85,000), Pieyre Maggi (80,800) and 2016 November Niner Fernando Pons (77,000).

The top four of the MAD 20,000 High Roller all remain in contention as well including Aleksandras Voisnis (37,000), runner-up [Removed:44] (10,800), third-place finisher Il Dieko Rati Vale (195,200) and PMU.fr Team Pro Johan Guilbert (122,700), while more than half of the online qualifiers of the French online poker site have already been eliminated.

The payout information will be released before the cards get back in the air for level 12 with blinds of 800-1,600 and a running ante of 200, a total of 11 levels of 60 minutes each are once more scheduled in sunny Marrakech.
