Nitsche So Gut
Dominik Nitsche has just lost a huge pot that, had it gone his way, would have seen the young German become the chip leader.
A preflop raising war broke out between Nitsche and Igor Gurskiy that resulted in the latter being all-in as Nitsche covered him by 42,000 chips.
Nitsche turned over and was in a whole world of trouble against the of Gurskiy. The left Nitsche all but drawing dead and the turn confirmed his chips would now belong to Gurskiy. The meaningless on the river completed the hand and Nitsche is back to grinding up his stack; although he does still have 42,000 chips.
Lynn Gilmartin spoke with Nitsche during yesterday's Day 1a about his history of running well in this region of the world. Let's see if he can maintain that in this Main Event.
