Mauran Cracks Aces to Take Chip Lead
Richard "Rich71" Mauran, who finished in seventh place in the first WSOP.ca Ontario bracelet event, just took the tournament chip lead after cracking aces in a massive three-way pot.
Mauran opened to 300 from early position before "First48" three-bet to 800 in middle position. "soulstealer" called from the small blind, as did Mauran as they went three-handed to the flop.
Mauran bet 1,298 and "First48" moved all in for 7,526. "soulstealer" got out of the way, but Mauran called with for top set. "First48" showed and was in danger of hitting the rail.
The turn and river came and Mauran took the 17,648 chip pot and knocked out "FIrst48."
