Steve Billirakis pulls off the amazing feat of going wire-to-wire the entire way, from leading the field at the end of Days 1 and 2, to leading the final table from beginning to end.
Steve takes home $208,885, the gold and diamond WSOP Circuit ring, the $10,000 buy-in to the 2009 WSOP Main Event, and $2,000 spending money for that event. Steve was already the youngest domestic WSOP bracelet winner (bested only by WSOP Europe's Annette Obrestad), and now becomes the youngest WSOP Circuit champion.
Congratulations!
That will do it for PokerNews here at the WSOP Circuit Horseshoe Hammond. Thanks to Charlie Ceresi, Steve Frezer, and the other fine tournament staff and dealers. The next stop for the circuit is Lake Tahoe. See you then!
