Back in control
Back in control

On the next hand, Casetta raised his button, making it 60,000 to go. Lichtenberger reraised to 165,000. Casetta moved all in and then Lichtenberger snapped.

"I learned this move from Joe Cada," commented Casetta.

Lichtenberger held the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Casetta the {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. The board ran out {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Lichtenberger earned the double up. Chewy Still Fighting

Andrew Lichtenberger is a long way from where he was at the start of this heads-up match but he's clearly still fighting. He re-raised pre-flop to 150,000 after Dan Casetta opened to 60,000. Casetta leaned forward in his chair after the re-raise. After twenty seconds he called.

Lichtenberger made a small bet of 120,000 into the 300,000-chip pot on an ace-high flop, {A-Hearts} {7-Spades} {9-Spades}. Casetta folded.

Another Small Pot to Casetta

It may only be 60,000 chips at a time, but Dan Casetta is slowly accumulating all the chips on the table. That's what it's going to take for someone to win.

Casetta called Andrew Lichtenberger's pre-flop raise to 60,000. Both players checked the {K-Spades} {2-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} flop. Casetta then check-called 60,000 when the turn fell {7-Clubs}. The river, a matching {7-Hearts}, went check, check. Casetta called, "king" and turned up {K-Hearts} {3-Diamonds}. It was the winner.

Casetta Finds Value with Second Pair

Dan Casetta took another moderate pot off of Andrew Lichtenberger, this time at showdown. Lichtenberger opened for 50,000 pre-flop, with Casetta calling. Casetta checked and then called another 60,000 on a jack-high flop, {J-Clubs} {6-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}.

When the turn came {7-Clubs}, Casetta opted to lead into Lichtenberger for 110,000. Lichtenberger called after about 20 seconds.
