Wrap It Up

Flack's return to the felt looking good so far
Flack's return to the felt looking good so far
The 2010 WSOP Circuit Caesars Las Vegas Main Event kicked off today and 150 players ponied up the $5,000 buy-in to fend for the title. The defending champ was Justin Bonomo and he was here to give it a go at back-to-back titles. Unfortunately for him, he was ousted before day's end, ensuring that a new champion would be crowned.

Some of the other notables in attendance that failed to make it out of the day were Scott Seiver, Isaac Haxton, David Williams and Chau Giang. Both Giang and Williams fell in the last level of the night.

As it looks, Dan Casetta sits atop the overnight leaderboard with 168,700 chips. Hot on his heels is Randy Dorfman with 153,800. One of the best stories from today though comes with Layne Flack, who made his return to tournament poker after a long six months off the felt. Flack stayed in control of his table for most of the day and if it wasn't for a boat-over-boat confrontation with former PokerNews employee Anthony Yeh, Flack most likely would be the chip leader to end the day. Instead, he finished up with 109,400 -- good enough for a top-five spot.

Play resumes tomorrow at noon local time here in Las Vegas and the remaining players will look to trek onward. We'll see you right back here for all the coverage!
