As it often does in poker tournaments, it came down to a flip for Jeff Madsen. He opened for 5,000, then moved in for 27,000 after an opponent on his left three-bet to 18,000. That opponent quickly called.

"Do you have aces?" he asked Madsen.

"No," said Madsen. "I just can't fold this." He opened two tens, {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}, and was racing {A-Spades} {k-Clubs}. The flop was a clean {6-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs} but the {K-Spades} on the turn was a killer for Madsen. He was on his way out of the room as soon as the {7-Spades} hit the river.
