Lichtenberger Back from Break with a Fury

Lichtenberger putting the pressure on now
Lichtenberger putting the pressure on now
Andrew Lichtenberger has been adding a lot of chips to his stack after the break. First, he called a raise to 80,000 from Dan Casetta who was on the button. The flop came down {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Lichtenberger checked. Casetta fired 55,000 and Lichtenberger called. After the turn came the {4-Clubs}, both players checked. The river was also checked by each after the {10-Spades} fell.

"Tens up," announced Lichtenberger, tabling the {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Casetta mucked.

Casetta opened a hand shortly thereafter to 75,000 from the button and Lichtenberger three-bet him to 225,000. Casetta folded and more chips moved Lichtenberger's way.

On the hand after that, Lichtenberger raised the button to 75,000 and Casetta called. After the flop was checked by both players when the {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{4-Diamonds} fell, Casetta fired 110,000 on the turn where the {2-Clubs} fell. Lichtenberger made the call and then the river produced the {7-Hearts}. Both players checked fifth street and Lichtenberger won the pot with his {K-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a pair of fours.

A couple hands later, Lichtenberger raised to 75,000 from the button and Casetta called. The flop was {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Casetta check-called Lichtenberger's 95,000-chip continuation bet. The turn put the {8-Diamonds} on board and Casetta checked again. Lichtenberger fired a hefty 250,000 and Casetta called again.

The river went check, check after the {5-Clubs} hit the felt. Lichtenberger tabled the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}, having flopped a straight and bested Casetta's {K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}.

After all of that, Casetta is down to 1.218 million and Lichtenberger holds 2.532 million.
