Gates Flops Trips, but Folds Them on Turn
Action folded to a player in middle position and he limped in. The cutoff seat limped, the small blind completed and then Garry Gates checked his option in the big blind. The four of them saw the flop come down 
and action checked around to the player in the cutoff seat. He bet 2,600. The small blind called and then Gates put in a check-raise to 6,300 from the big blind. The player in middle position flat-called before the cutoff seat and small blind folded. As the dealer was pulling in the bets, Gates made a comment about the player having "basically one hand" here.
The turn brought the 
and Gates checked. His opponent bet 6,300 and Gates commented quietly that the player should just play his hand face up. Gates then mucked the 
and didn't show his other card. His opponent didn't show, but the general consensus from the table was that he had pocket fives and only pocket fives. Gates dropped back to 22,000 in chips.
