Kessler Takes a Big Pot

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Matt Waxman raised to 13,000 under the gun and AJ Jejelowo called from the next seat over. Allie Prescott called in the cutoff, Allen Kessler did the same from the small blind, and a {Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop came down.

Kessler checked it to Waxman who bet 24,000. Jejelowo quickly called the bet, as did both Prescott and Kessler to see the {K-Hearts} turn.

Kessler immediately shoved for 87,000, getting Waxman to fold. Jejelowo spent a good amount of time in the tank before folding, Prescott folded immediately, and Kessler took the hefty pot to up his stack to about 250,000.

Show the Bluff, Chainsaw!

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Allen Kessler just six-bet shoved into Allie Prescott, and when Prescott folded, "Chainsaw" showed {2-Spades} {3-Diamonds} for the bluff.

All right, that's an outright lie.

We've actually seen the table pretty much fold around since the players returned to the seven-handed final table. There hasn't been much movement at all in the last orbit or so.

Jeremy Gaubert Eliminated in 9th Place ($12,000); Kunal Patel Eliminated in 8th Place ($26,401)

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Kunal Patel - 8th place
Kunal Patel - 8th place

Kunal Patel raised to 12,000 to open the pot, and Allie Prescott three-bet to 35,000 in position. Jeremy Gaubert called all in for his last 6,000 from the small blind, and the action came back to Patel. He thought for a minute, then capped his cards with a chip and thought some more. He double-checked his hole cards, then shoved over the top all in for about 110,000. Prescott shrugged and called covering both players, and the cards were on their backs.

Showdown
Gaubert: {A-Diamonds} {7-Spades}
Patel: {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds}
Prescott: {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts}

Patel was in front, and he had to be happy to see his two opponent sharing the overcard ace. It didn't much matter. The flop came {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}, and Prescott shot into a big lead with aces up. Gaubert needed to find an ace, queen, or king to chop, while Patel was dead to the two remaining jacks in the deck.

The turn {6-Spades} and river {5-Clubs} were blanks, though, and Prescott drags the biggest pot of the day. It's good enough to boost him into the chip lead with about 650,000, and it eliminates Gaubert and Patel in 9th and 8th places, respectively.

Kessler Doubles Through Gaubert

Allen Kessler shoved from the small blind for 58,000 and Jeremy Gaubert called out of the big blind for most of his stack with {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Kessler tabled {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and looked to keep his tournament hopes alive.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, giving Kessler a set. Gaubert picked up a few outs when the {7-Diamonds} turn hit, but the river was the {A-Diamonds} and locked up the pot for Kessler

Lipshutz Tries, Surrenders

Level 20 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Scott Lipshutz
Scott Lipshutz

AJ Jejelowo raised to 12,000, and Scott Lipshutz three-bet to 28,000 total from the cutoff seat. The table folded back around to Jejelowo, and he took pause before four-betting to 65,000 straight. Lipshutz now spent some time in the tank himself, eventually surrendering to send the chips to the big stack.

Cullen Takes One

Harry Cullen limped in from under the gun and Matt Waxman did the same from the cutoff. Allie Prescott checked his option and the flop came down {8-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}.

Prescott checked it to Cullen who bet 17,000. Waxman was the lone caller to see the {3-Clubs} turn. Both opted to check it, landing the {Q-Clubs} on the river. Both checked again and Cullen tabled {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Waxman couldn't beat it, giving the pot Cullen.
