Reynolds Takes Lead After Beating Jivkov Twice

William Reynolds
William Reynolds

Nick Jivkov and William Reynolds just played two sizable pots together that has seen Reynolds take over as the chip leader in the tournament with 100 players left.

On the first hand, we picked up the action on the turn with the board reading {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. There was already about 55,000 in the middle and Jivkov was out of position to Reynolds. After Jivkov checked, Reynolds fired 26,500. Jivkov thought for a few moments and then made the call. The river card completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and Jivkov checked again. Reynolds fired out a big bet of 115,000. Jivkov tanked for a bit, but folded his hand and Reynolds scooped the pot. This put Reynolds up to about 650,000 while Jivkov dropped back to 475,000.

On the very next hand, Jivkov raised to 12,000 preflop. Reynolds made the call and had position on Jivkov once again as the two saw the flop come down {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Jivkov bet out 18,000 and Reynolds called.

The turn card was the {9-Spades} and Jivkov checked. Reynolds slid out 25,500, which Jivkov called to see the {9-Diamonds} pair the board on the river. Jivkov checked and Reynolds checked behind. Jivkov's {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} was no good to Reynolds' {J-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Reynolds won the pot to move over 700,000 in chips.
