Still Four Handed with Jewell Still Leading the Way

Kurt Jewell
Kurt Jewell

Just the Ol' Queen-High Call - 12:03 AM

From the small blind, Kurt Jewell raised to 300,000. Edwin Choi called from the big blind and the flop came down {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Jewell checked and Choi checked behind.

The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and Jewell checked. Choi fired 250,000 and Jewell made the call.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Jewell checked. Choi fired 300,000 and Jewell made a comment about the bet sizing, saying Choi was supposed to bet 700,000. Jewell made the call and Choi shot him a look to say he was good. Jewell tabled the {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} for queen high and Choi mucked, dropping to 1.45 million.

Reynolds Doubles - 12:07 AM

William Reynolds reraised all in for 1.29 million from the small blind after Kurt Jewell had opened with a raise to 280,000. Jewell made the call.

Jewell: {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Reynolds: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran through {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and Reynolds got the double up.

Now Choi Doubles - 12:13 AM

From the button, Kurt Jewell raised to 280,000. Edwin Choi moved all in from the small blind for 1.435 million. After William Reynolds folded out of the big blind, Jewell took a minute and then made the call with the {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. Choi held two red eights.

The flop, turn and river ran out {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Choi doubled back over three million in chips. Jewell began the hand with a little bit over 9.4 million and was knocked back to right about eight million. He's still plenty ahead of everyone else though.

Three-Bet from Jewell - 12:36 AM

From under the gun, William Reynolds raised to 250,000. In the small blind was Kurt Jewell and he reraised to 610,000. Reynolds mucked and Jewell won the pot.

Choi Check-Folds the Flop - 12:38 AM

Kurt Jewell raised to 280,000 from the button. Edwin Choi malled from the small blind and the flop came down {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Choi check-folded to a bet of 320,000 from Jewell.

Choi Limps Then Bets Turn - 12:41 AM

Edwin Choi limped in from under the gun and Kurt Jewell checked his option in the big blind. The flop came down {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn brought the {3-Spades} and Jewell check-folded to a bet of 200,000 from Choi.

Raise Preflop, Fire Turn and Win - 12:44 AM

From under the gun, Kurt Jewell raised to 285,000. Jared Kenworthy called from the big blind. The two players saw the flop come down {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Kenworthy check-folded to a 335,000-chip continuation bet from Jewell.

Check, Check, Check, Check, Check - 12:48 AM

Jared Kenworthy raised from the small blind to 360,000 and Kurt Jewell called from the big blind. The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was the {8-Spades} and both checked again. They also both checked after the {K-Diamonds} fell on the river.

"Eight," said Kenworthy, tabling the {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}. Jewell mucked and Kenworthy won the pot.

Choi Drinking Double - 12:55 AM

First in from the button, Kurt Jewell made it 360,000 to go, and Edwin Choi three-bet to 650,000 in the small blind. Jewell reraised all in over the top, and Choi snap-called for his last 1.325 million additional chips. He was at risk, but he had the goods:

Jewell: {A-Hearts} {5-Diamonds}
Choi: {A-Clubs} {A-Spades}

There was no funny stuff on the board that ran {4-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {3-Hearts} {4-Hearts}, and Choi has found the double he needed. He's back to 3.8 million now, while Jewell takes a hit back to 7.12 million.
