A Brown-Colored Shove - 6:33 PM

Benjamin Volpe raised to 4,400 from early-middle position and then Chad Brown moved all in from the hijack seat. Brown's all-in bet was for 34,700 and after a minute in the tank, Volpe folded his hand.

Adams Gets There - 6:39 PM

Full Tilt Red Pro Brandon Adams was all in for 24,100 on the flop of {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} holding the {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. He was up against Jonathan Tamayo's {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

The turn brought the {4-Clubs}, but the river saved Adams with the {6-Hearts} to give him a heart flush. He doubled up and now has nearly 60,000 in chips.

Sands Puts the Pressure On Lee - 6:40 PM

Foxwoods' poker room spokesperson Bernard Lee raised to 5,400 before Dave "Doc" Sands reraised to 12,700. When it got back around to Lee, he made the call and the flop came down {9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Lee checked and then Sands fired out 14,700. Lee folded and dropped back to 107,000. Sands improved to 230,000.

Bet, Bet, Bet for Charania - 6:45 PM

Mohsin Charania raised to 4,500 from the hijack seat. Benjamin Volpe called from the button and Chad Brown called from the big blind. The flop came down {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Brown checked. Charania bet 8,500 and Volpe called. Brown got out of the way before the turn card was dealt the {K-Spades}.

Charania bet the turn for 13,000 and Volpe called again to see the {2-Diamonds} pair the board on the river. The added duck on the board didn't slow down Charania and he bet out 23,000. Volpe folded and said, "Nice hand." Charania improved to 163,000 with that pot.

Lusby Loses it All - 6:50 PM

George Lusby was just eliminated at the hands of Brandon Adams. It was {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades} for Lusby, racing for double or nothing against the {J-Diamonds} {J-Spades} of Adams.

The flop came {K-} {A-} {J-} to push Adams into a commanding lead. The ace on the turn paired the board and improved him to a full house, and Lubsy would need to make a bigger full house to stick around.

He could not, however, and a blank on the river ushered him out the door and moved Adams up to about 110,000.

Bakes! - 6:55 PM

Gordon Vayo was first into the pot from the cutoff seat, and he opened it to 5,100. Next door, David "Bakes" Baker three-bet to 13,300, and the blinds quickly folded to send the decision back to Vayo. Not missing a beat, he reraised to 28,100 straight, and Baker moved all in on a five-bet shove for 132,500. Vayo quickly called with the covering stack, and Baker was flipping for his tournament life:

Vayo: {10-Hearts} {10-Spades}
Baker: {A-Diamonds} {K-Spades}

The flop was just what Bakes was looking for as it came {K-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} to give him the big lead right out of the gate. Vayo would need for a ten or two running cards to catch up, but he could not find them as the turn {5-Diamonds} and river {6-Spades} filled out the board.

Baker thusly wins his race to double up to 270,000, and that gives him about five times as many chips as Vayo has left now.

Lee Makes A Big Call to Double Up C 6:59 PM

Bernard Lee just made a huge call on the river to double through James Carroll. According to Lee, Carroll kicked off the action with a raise to 5,000 under the gun. Lee called on the button and Bruce Axtman called form the big blind, bringing out a flop of{K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}. It was checked to Carroll, who bet 10,000. Lee was the lone caller and the {J-Diamonds} hit the turn. Carrolls bet of 25,000 was also called by Lee, landing the {3-Diamonds} on the river.

Carroll shoved and Lee went into the tank for a few minutes. In the end, he opted to call with {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} and it was good, boosting his stack to about 220,000. Carroll dropped to about 135,000.

Smith Says No Moore - 7:04 PM

On the flop of {10-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Ryan Julius checked and Chris Moore was up next. He fired 3,500 and then action fell on the third player in the hand, Justin Smith. The Full Tilt Red Pro raised to 12,600 and Julius folded. Moore made the call.

After the {6-Diamonds} hit the felt on the turn, Moore immediately moved all in for 40,400 into the pot of about 30,000. Smith thought for a bit and then made the call. Moore tabled the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Smith the {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

The river completed the board with the {9-Hearts} and didn't hit Moore. He was covered by Smith and eliminated on the hand.

Adams Doubles Through Zolotow C 7:04 PM

Brandon Adams doubled up for 89,400 after he was all in preflop {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} against Steve Zolotows {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. The board ran out {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Adams upped his stack to about 190,000. Zolotow slipped to about 120,000.

Julius Attacks - 7:06 PM

Alexander Queen raised from under the gun to 4,800. Adam Levy called from the hijack seat and Justin Smith called from the cutoff before Ryan Julius was up on the button. He reraised to 19,500 and everyone folded.

The players went on a 90-minute dinner break at the completion of this level and will be back in action at approximately 9:00 p.m. local time.
