Boyd Bests Kuether Again

Joe Kuehter raised under the gun to 100,000, causing folds from everyone at the table until Dutch Boyd called in the big blind. The flop came out {7-Spades}{a-Spades}{10-Hearts} and Boyd check-called a bet of 80,000. The turn brought the {3-Hearts}, and once again Boyd check-called, this time for 150,000. The river came the {4-Diamonds} and both players checked. Boyd tabled {k-Spades}{10-Clubs} for second pair and Kuether mucked his hand.

Madsen Falling, Calenzo Rising

Jeff Madsen raised to 90,000 preflop from middle position and was called by Kevin Calenzo on the button. The flop was {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Madsen continued for 115,000. Calenzo double-checked his cards and made the call.

The turn was the {a-Diamonds} and was checked twice so the dealer placed the {8-Diamonds} on the river. Madsen reached again for chips and slid out 145,000. Calenzo quickly called.

Madsen said something inaudible, but it was enough to make Calenzo flip over his {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Madsen quickly mucked.

Brandon Riha Crippled, Eliminated in 10th Place( $14,853)

Brandon Riha raised in early position to 80,000 and it folded all the way around to Sean Getzwiller in the small blind. He peeked down at his cards, then announced a raise to 250,000. Once Riha found out how much Getzwiller had behind, he announced all in and Getzwiller snap called.

Riha: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Getzwiller: {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Riha was in rough shape and would need a ton of help. The flop came out {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Spades} and Getzwiller was still in front. He locked it up on the turn, the {q-Clubs}, and the meaningless river came the {5-Clubs}. That doubled Getzwiller up to almost two million, while Riha was knocked down to just 40,000.

Three hands later, Riha was all in for 20,000 in the big blind. Joe Kuether raised it to 80,000, and it folded around to Bill Criego in the small blind. He announced a reraise to 250,000 and Kuether quickly folded. Riha figured he was in rough shape, and he was, up against the best hand in hold'em.

Riha: {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Bill Criego: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Riha would need a miracle to survive, but it wasn't meant to be, as the board ran out {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Criego collected the bounty and Riha headed to the rail, giving us our official final table.

Criego Bounces Back

From under the gun, Jeff Madsen raised to 90,000 before Bill Criego moved all in from middle position. Action folded back to Madsen and he asked for a count. The dealer announced that it was 365,000 more to Madsen and he made the call.

Madsen: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Criego: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The flop was clean for Madsen when it rolled off {k-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}. But the turn was not as kind. The {a-Clubs} left Criego one card away from a double up and the {6-Spades} river sealed it.

Getzwiller Gets There and Doubles Through Criego

Joe Kuether came in for a raise to 80,000 in middle position and it folded around to Sean Getzwiller, who shoved all in for 435,000. It folded to Bill Criego on the button, who made the call for half his stack. When it came back to Kuether, he asked Criego for a count on his stack, then reluctantly folded. The cards were flipped and Getzwiller was well behind.

Getzwiller: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Criego: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Getzwiller needed a ton of help and he didn't catch any on the flop of {4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. However, he spiked the {q-Spades} on the turn to give him the huge lead. The river was the {j-Clubs} and Getziller got the double up to just under one million.
