Slow and Steady for Masek
Alexandru Masek is a beast on the WSOP Circuit with four gold rings to his name. He's constantly putting himself in contention for a record-tying fifth with slow and steady play, though it has eluded him thus far. Masek is playing here on Day 1a but has been fairly quiet.
In a recent hand, there was about 4,000 in the pot and a board reading 
when Masek led out for 1,650 from the small blind. His opponent in the hijack called, while the cutoff got out of the way. When the 
appeared on the river, Masek bet a modest 2,300, which was enough to take down the pot without a showdown.
