Newcombe Leaves
Someone in late position opened the pot with a raise to 26,000, and Chris Deziel three-bet to 71,000 in the small blind. Next door in the big, Matt Newcombe came in from the cold with a four-bet shove for about 180,000 total, give or take. That folded the initial raiser, but Deziel quickly called with the covering stack and a chance at the knockout.

"Ace-nine, really??" Newcombe asked of Deziel, but it had indeed been the correct play. The board ran out unfavorably for the at-risk player, coming to end his day.
Newcombe is out, and Deziel stacks his chips to move up close to the half-million chip mark.
