Phillips Finds Value on Every Street

Bryan Campanello opened for 100,000 from the button and received calls from Paul Phillips and Brant Hale in the small and big blinds respectively. Phillips then led out for 140,000 on the {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, only Campanello called, and the {10-Spades} peeled off on the turn.

Again Phillips led out, this time for 160,000, and again Campanello called. The {8-Diamonds} river saw Phillips fire out 250,000, and Campanello paid him off. Phillips tabled {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for two pair, and it was good as Campanello simply mucked.

Ilich Picks One Up Before Break

Just before the break, Bryan Campanello opened to 80,000 from early position, and Drazen Ilich defended his big blind. The dealer fanned {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, and Ilich check-called an 80,000-chip bet from Campanello.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}, Ilich checked again, and Campanello fired 170,000. Ilich called.

The {q-Diamonds} completed the board and both players knuckled. Ilich turned over {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, for a pair of sixes, and Campanello scrunched his face before mucking.

Stewart Back on Track

Cliff Stewart
Cliff Stewart

Cliff Stewart's stack has done nothing but went down here in Level 29, but he recently righted the ship with a nice win against Krissi McFarland.

It happened when Stewart opened for 80,000 from the hijack and McFarland defended from the big. Both players then checked the {3-Clubs}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds} flop, leading to the {10-Clubs} on the turn. McFarland checked, Stewart bet 105,000, and McFarland check-raised to 220,000. Stewart made the call and the watched McFarland lead out for 200,000 on the {Q-Diamonds} river.

Stewart only had about 400,000 behind and thought for about 90 seconds before calling off half of it with {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. It was a good call as McFarland held the inferior {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

A Few Hands from Table 11

Jeff Fielder opened to 85,000 on the button, Dale Roesel three-bet to 190,000 from the big blind, and Fielder called. The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{a-Hearts}, and Roesel led out for 130,000.

Fielder raised to 380,000, and took down the pot.

A few hands later, Roesel opened to 90,000 from the cutoff seat, and Matt Kirby three-bet to 230,000 on his direct left. The action folded back to Roesel, who immediately four-bet to 450,000, and Kirby folded.

The very next hand, Roesel opened from the hijack seat. He received no callers, and tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

A Look at the WSOP Circuit Choctaw Casino Championship Race

Level 29 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Drazen Ilich is looking for 4th place or better.
Drazen Ilich is looking for 4th place or better.

We have just received word that Andrew Robinson, who currently leads the WSOP Circuit Choctaw Casino Championship race with 75 points, has been eliminated from Event #12 $580 No-Limit Hold'em, which means he won't be earning any more points here in Durant. Robinson amassed his points over three cashes: 13th in Event #5, 2nd in Event #7, and 4th in Event #10.

With that said, Drazen Ilich is able to catch him if he finishes in fourth place or better. Placing fourth will tie Ilich with Robinson, but he would win the tiebreaker should no one pass him Event #12, though there are still players alive in that event
that could impact the standings.

Reginald Roberts Eliminated in 13th Place ($20,332)

Reginald Roberts (Day 2) - 13th Place
Reginald Roberts (Day 2) - 13th Place

Krissi McFarland opened to 120,000 from early position, Reginald Roberts three-bet jammed for 430,000 from the cutoff seat, and the action folded back to McFarland, who tank-called.

McFarland: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Roberts: {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Roberts made a pair of kings when the flop fell {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, but the {j-Clubs} turned, giving McFarland a myriad of outs to catch up. Now, any club or queen would give her the best hand, and it was the {q-Diamonds} that completed the board.

McFarland made a straight, increasing her stack to 1.15 million chips, while Roberts was eliminated.
