Smith Almost Triple Starting Stack

The board read 
and Gavin Smith fired out a bet of what looked to be 1,850. Jason Koon called from the cutoff and the player from the button tagged along as well.
"What the frick, guys!" said Smith. "I don't even know what I want to see now!"
The 
completed the board and Smith reached into his stack and came out with a bet of 4,300. Koon tossed out a call and the third player angrily threw up 
for top pair. Smith tabled 
for a pair that turned into a straight on the river. Koon mucked his hand and Smith dragged in yet another pot.
Smith is now killing his table with a massive stack of 58,000. Koon, on the other hand, can seemingly get nothing going as he is down to about 7,000.
