Bjerno Leads Coming Into Day 3, Eyes on Le, Lee, and Tehan
Welcome back to the final day at the WSOPC Bicycle Main Event. Yesterday it was recent ring winner Nathan Bjerno who finished up the day with the chip lead after taking the two biggest pots of the day. It was just days ago that Nathan Bjerno was playing in his second ever WSOPC event, and now he has a chance to win his second ring already. Event #5 $585 No-Limit Hold’em attracted 157 entries and created a prize pool of $78,500. After two days of intense play, Bjerno emerged victorious to claim the gold ring and accompanying $21,180 first-place prize.
But spectators are all watching three other men. The first is WPT champion Nam Le, who comes into the day as one of the shortest stacks. Le may not have a huge pile of chips, but he still have a great chance to take home a WSOPC ring here today. Also in the field is Doug Lee, who is looking to take home another WSOPC championship. Should Lee win today, he would become only the second player in WSOPC history to have earned seven figures in lifetime circuit cashes. The other player is Chris Ferguson who has claimed three circuit titles.
The last player in the field who everyone is watching is Joe Tehan, who comes into the day in the middle of the pack. Tehan seemed tired and frustrated last night, but today is a new day and some rest should help Tehan regain his composure coming into the final day. One player flying under the radar trying to set an impressive feat is Erik Roussakis. Roussakis just final table the WSOPC Rincon Main Event and he is looking to go back to back here at the Bike. He's got the chips to do it, but it still remains to be see what lies in the cards.
Action is set to begin at 12 PM PST and well have all the updates you need right here on the live reporting blog.
