Truth or Dare
Level 27
: 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
An interesting hand just played out between Chris Mintchev (cutoff) and Stephen Dare (button). After Dare called a standard opening raise from Mintchev before the flop, the pair made it to the turn with the board showing and Dare having taken the initiative, with Mintchev check-calling a Dare turn bet.
By the time the landed on fifth street, the pot exceeded 300,000 and Mintchev was checking again. This time Dare bet 140,000, and after checking to see what Dare had left behind, Mintchev let his hand go.
At that Dare showed his cards — . "Well, he didn't have anything," said Pete Campo with a kind of mock incredulity at the sight of Dare's hand.
