Bowman Gets Some Back

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Raymond Weaver and John Bowman were just at it again, this time both playing from the blinds. Following a Weaver open and Bowman call, the flop came single-suited {3-Spades}{K-Spades}{2-Spades} and Weaver led with a bet of 300,000. Bowman made it 700,000, and Weaver called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts}, and when Weaver checked, Bowman pushed all in for 1.08 million total. Weaver counted out the chips to call and put them forward.

Bowman tabled {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} for the flopped flush. "Even if I hit, you got me," said Weaver as he turned over {J-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The meaningless {5-Diamonds} river then fell and Bowman scooped the chips.

Another Flush Continues Weaver's Rush

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Raymond Weaver and John Bowman together saw a {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop, with both responding with by checking. Then the {6-Hearts} turn inspired Weaver to bet 200,000, and Bowman called.

The river was the {3-Diamonds}. Weaver bet 300,000 this time, and after thinking for some time Bowman called. Weaver turned over {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} another nut flush for the 69-year-old Georgian and Bowman mucked.

Kory Kilpatrick Eliminated in 4th Place ($85,052)

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Kory Kilpatrick - 4th Place
Kory Kilpatrick - 4th Place

Raymond Weaver raised to 200,000 out of the small blind, and Kory Kilpatrick moved all in for 1.69 million in the big blind. Weaver tanked for a very long time - well over two minutes - before pulling out a stack of blues.

"I'll call ya," he finally said.

Kilpatrick ripped over {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}, knowing it was the best hand, and sure enough Weaver was behind with {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}.

Incredibly, the flop brought all clubs: {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. Kilpatrick started to gather his things before Daniel Weinman pointed out that he was drawing live.

"It's like point-two percent," Kilpatrick chuckled.

Indeed, if the turn and river produced some variation of the {j-Clubs}, {k-Clubs}, and {8-Clubs}, Kilpatrick would survive.

It was all over when the suicide king ({k-Hearts}) turned however, and a meaningless {a-Hearts} completed the board.

"You're still my hero, Raymond," Kilpatrick told him, extending his hand.

"You played great," Weaver responded as they shook hands.

Kilpatrick is off to the cage to collect $85,052, while Weaver now has just under 10 million chips.

Huge Check-Jam on Turn by Weaver

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Raymond Weaver
Raymond Weaver

Daniel Weinman raised to 200,000 out of the small blind, Raymond Weaver called, and the flop came {8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades}. Weinman check-called 300,000 from Weaver, and the turn brought the {q-Diamonds}.

Weinman checked again, Weaver fired 400,000, and Weinman check-raised to 1.35 million.

"All in," Weaver said instantly, making it 5.5 million.

Weinman quickly flicked his cards into the muck, and Weaver is now above eight million chips.

George Zinaty Eliminated in 5th Place ($64,303)

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
George Zinaty - 5th Place
George Zinaty - 5th Place

After Raymond Weaver limped from the button and Kory Kilpatrick called from the small blind, George Zinaty raised all in for his last 410,000 from the big blind and both Weaver and Kilpatrick called.

The two remaining players both checked following the {4-Hearts}{A-Spades}{4-Spades} flop. The turn brought the {10-Diamonds} and another check from Kilpatrick, and he mucked his hand even before Weaver's bet of 200,000 had landed in front of him.

Weaver then flipped over his hand {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}! "That's a very good hand," deadpanned a standing Zinaty as he showed {10-Spades}{2-Spades}.

Zinaty wasn't drawing completely dead as another ten could give him a better full house than Weaver's. But the river was the {7-Spades}, and the flush did Zinaty no good, sending "Salon George" out in fifth place.

Kilpatrick Cripples Zinaty

Level 32 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Kory Kilpatrick
Kory Kilpatrick

Kory Kilpatrick, who donned a lime green bow-tie during the break, open-shoved for his last 735,000 from the cutoff. George Zinaty re-shoved on the button, and the rest of the players folded.

"I have three outs," Kilpatrick said, turning over {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}.

He was right - Zinaty showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

"Queen, deuce, four, two diamonds," Kilpatrick requested.

Kilpatrick's wish wasn't granted, but the {3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop did give him a leading pair of threes. He held when the turn and river came {10-Clubs}, {4-Diamonds} respectively, and doubled to over 1.6 million chips.

Zinaty is extremely short with around 200,000 chips.

Weaver Takes Chips, Lead from Weinman

Level 31 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

In the last hand of Level 31, Daniel Weinman raised to 120,000 from the button and only Raymond Weaver called from the small blind. The flop came {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, and when Weaver led for 175,000, Weinman came back with a raise to 450,000 which Weaver called.

The turn brought the {6-Hearts} and checks from both players. The river was the {5-Clubs}. Weaver collected some chips, then put out a bet of 725,000.

Weinman thought for over a minute, looking up into the rafters of the spacious Harrah's Cherokee Event Center as he did. Finally he called, and when Weaver tabled {K-Clubs}{9-Spades} for the straight, Weinman mucked disappointedly.

That pot gives Weaver back the lead, taking it away from Weinman. Here's a look at the counts of the five remaining players as they head to break:

James Kinney Eliminated in 6th Place ($49,241)

Level 31 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
James Kinney - 6th Place
James Kinney - 6th Place

After Kory Kilpatrick open-shoved for a little over 500,000 from the button, it folded to James Kinney in the big blind who called all in with his last 410,000.

Kilpatrick had {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Kinney {K-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}. The community cards came {5-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{A-Spades}, then {5-Spades}, which made the river {2-Clubs} no matter.

Just five remain.
