Get Ready For Day 2 of the Main Event
At 1 p.m. local time, the surviving players of Day 1a and 1b will be combined as the Main Event of the 2017 WSOP International Circuit Marrakech Main Event continues. 153 out of 511 players have made their way to Day 2.
Alexandre Viard, a long-time French pro with over $300,000 in lifetime winnings, starts the day as the chipleader. After a late surge on Day 1b, Viard brings a stack of 345,000 to the table, a whopping 173 big blinds.
Topping the leaderboard with Viard are Fernandez (268,000), Rodrigo Strong (250,000) and French poker legend Fabrice Soulier (241,400). Sarah Herzali (160,000) and EPT11 Malta winner Jean Montury (151,000) had strong showings on Day 1 and are in a good spot for a deep run.
The blinds will start at 1,000/2,000 with a 300-ante and levels will be 60 minutes all day long. The payout schedule and seating for Day 2 haven't been published yet, but will be added later on as soon as they're known.
