Rodriguez Picks Off a Bluff
Noel Rodriguez was on the button and saw action folded to him. He opened to 6,000 and the big blind three-bet to 12,000. He looked over at the player to eye his stack and in turn saw his opponent move his arms to give him a clearer view. He then made the call.
The flop came and the big blind made a continuation-bet of 12,000. Rodriguez peeled to bring the turn . His opponent checked. He tossed out a bet of 17,000 and received a call from his opponent.
The river came and Rodriguez's opponent fired 25,000 out into the middle. Rodriguez went into the tank for close to a minute and eventually tossed out chips to call in a manner that resulted in them splashing across a decent radius in front of him.
The big blind tabled for nothing more than ace-king high to the board's pair of queens, having missed his turned nut flush draw along the way. Rodriguez showed and was awarded the pot, bringing him to around the quarter million-mark in chips.
