Spain's David "MyLastHand!" Comeron moved to Estonia nearly a year ago where he plays at the GGPoker Network via waving the Estonian flag. Comeron faced a seasoned final table including the likes of Tam "LilyP" Le, Mikhael "zyxel777" Aleksandrov, Rafael "R Reis" Reis, Bao Qiang "Yummers19" Ho, and Song "xuesong" Xue.

Action of the Day

The event began with at noon GMT (7 a.m. EST) with 703 hopefuls in action. This ballooned to a huge field of 2,963 entrants by the time the 16-level late registration period was closed.

More than an hour later, players were in the money for at least a $401 min-cash and whatever bounties they collected after Andrey Pateychuk bubbled in 369th place. Pateychuk could have been refunded his buy-in back like "okItakeIt", "vlad-88" and "turubanov" did for finishing just before him if he bought into the event before it began to automatically receive Early Bird Bubble Protection.

Nearly 10 hours after the event began the final table was reached with a hand that gave Comeron a decent stack to work with. Comeron with eights was up against two players with big slick. He won his flip to boost his stack while eliminating Argentina's "Turco Garcia" in 10th place and leaving Russia's "zaiyac" very short on chips.

Final Table Action

The final table began with Cyprus' "Grave Digg3r" in the lead shortly followed by Ho and Comeron. The blind levels were rolled back four levels due to GGPoker's new final table rules for tournaments with at least 100 players to assure an average stack of about 40-100 big blinds.

Blind levels no longer increased in fixed time but instead every 15 hands and it took nearly two full blind levels for the first elimination to take place when Xue bowed out in ninth place when his ace-eight didn't win a race against Ho's treys.

A short while later things really began to unravel for "Grave Digg3r". They first gave up the chip lead to Ho when his flush was no good against quads. This player then found themselves in last place when their tens were no match to Le's cowboys. The final straw to send this player from hero to zero in eighth place was when their ace-eight didn't win a race against Comeron's treys.

Comeron made "ThewSenior" his second victim at the final table when his jack-trey got there for a straight against queen-ten.

Moments later, Ho eliminated "v_Nistelrooy" in sixth place when his fishhooks held against ace-four.

Then was the hand that changed the momentum of the tournament. Ho jammed the river holding trips with jack-ten and was called by Comeron with pocket deuces for a full house. This gave Comeron a huge chip lead and he simply steamrolled from there.

In the blink of an eye, Comeron single-handedly eliminated Le, Aleksandrov, Ho, and Reis to win the title and the $64,390 top prize including bounties.

Congrats to David "MyLastHand!" Comeron who's 'last hand' was a winner for a WSOP Gold Ring!

Aleksandrov Doubles Off Comeron Again

Level 48 : 500,000/1,000,000, 150,000 ante

David "MyLastHand!" Comeron raised to 1 million from under the gun. Mikhail "zyxel777" Aleksandrov jammed for 7.1 million from the button and Comeron called.

Mikhail "zyxel777" Aleksandrov: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
David "MyLastHand!" Comeron: {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The {6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop gave Comeron the lead in the hand and Comeron still had the lead after the {2-Spades} paired the board on the turn.

However, Aleksandrov hit a better two pair on the {j-Spades} river to stay alive and double off Comeron for the second time in less than an orbit.
