Mullennix Bluffs Over a Double

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a completed board of {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}, a pile of chips sat in the middle and Mark Koeln checked in the big blind. Zack Mullennix shoved on the button and Koeln immediately flicked in a chip. Koeln showed {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for an airball and Koeln turned over {q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. He collected around 650,000.

"Damn!" Brett Apter said. "Snapped!"

"We already made enough money," Koeln said. "Gotta start gambling and try to win. You weren't rooting for me, were you though?"

"No," Apter admitted with a smile. "No, I wasn't."

Koeln Counterfeited

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Mark Koeln made it 125,000 in the small blind and Zack Mullennix defended. Koeln bet 150,000 on the {2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop but slowed down with a check on the {3-Hearts}. Mullennix bet 225,000 and Koeln called. Both players checked the {5-Clubs}.

"Three pair," Koeln announced, showing {4-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Mullennix had a kicker that played with the {k-Diamonds}{4-Spades}.

Flush for Mullennix

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Zack Mullennix defended the big blind for a min-raise and the flop checked through for a board of {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} against Brett Apter. Mullennix came out betting with 125,000 and Apter called. On the {2-Spades} river, Mullennix barreled again for 300,000. Apter called pretty quickly but couldn't beat {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flush.

Kevin Waller

Kevin Waller was getting up to head to payouts, and the players said he limp-raised blind versus blind to 600,000, calling off when Zack Mullennix shoved for his 1.3 million or so. Waller was ahead with {a-}{10-} against {k-}{q-} but Mullennix flopped a queen and turned another one to leave him dead to the river.

Early Rut for Apter

Level 27 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

After folding to a double barrel from Zack Mullennix, Brett Apter lost another pot where he tried his own double barrel on {3-}{3-}{9-}{3-} in a limped blind-versus-blind pot. His 50,000 was called by Mark Koeln, then his 100,000 turn bet was min-raised. Apter folded and Koeln flashed the {3-Spades} with a laugh.

Then, Apter opened on the button and Kevin Waller defended the big blind. Apter bet 90,000 on the {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flop and Waller made it 450,000.

"Four fifty!" Apter exclaimed. "Now that is a raise."

He let it go.
