Niklas Astedt

Online poker legend Niklas Astedt could have yet another big win waiting for him tonight as he will kick off the final table of the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series Event #18: $525 Main Event at GGPoker with a chip leading stack of 149,037,043.

Astedt needs no introduction as he has been ranked number one in the world at PocketFives over several long periods with the site crediting the Swedish superstar more than $22 million in online tournament cashes. Even more amazing is that he doesn't have his GGPoker screenname listed on his profile where he has won more than $10 million according to GGPoker's PokerCraft.

Meanwhile, fans of GGPokerSquad member and Twitch streamer Patrick "Egption" Tardif should be please as he advanced to the final table with a sixth-place stack of 60,713,588. Tardif is also the only player at the final table that sold action of himself via the GG staking feature with five investors sharing 20 percent of Tardif's eventual haul.

Other notable players at the final table include Yanfei "aoteman1888" Chi (second - 104,740), Fabian Spielmann (fourth - $93,472,602), Allan "Freedom35" Mello (seventh - 48,840,768), and David Miscikowski (ninth - 28,070,997).

The tournament itself was a huge success with 14,496 entries generating a massive $7,248,000 prize pool to smash the event's lofty $5 million guarantee.
