The 2022 World Series of Poker International Circuit continues right where it concluded in the previous year, as the King's Resort in Rozvadov plays host to the popular mid-stakes contest once more. Europe's biggest poker arena has already been filled with action at the live poker tables for more than two weeks as the festival kicked off on January 5.

However, the crown jewel of the schedule still awaits with the 1,700 Main Event. Poker enthusiasts from near and far will be competing for the elusive WSOP Circuit gold ring and a seven-figure prize pool. The flagship tournament comes with a 1,000,000 guarantee and offers two starting days on January 21 and 22, respectively.

Day 1a is slated to get underway at 2pm local time and all participants receive 50,000 in chips. That is worth 250 big blinds in the first level, which features blinds of 100-200 and a big blind ante of 200. All levels last 60 minutes long and nine of them will be played on each of the two starting days with breaks every two levels.

The defending champion at King's Resort is Italy's Andrea Ricci, who defeated fellow countryman Simone Lombardo in September 2021. Back then, the tournament attracted a field of 912 entries and paid out 1,342,920 in prize money. Whether or not Ricci will return to King's in order to defend his title remains to be seen.

All participants can purchase up to two re-entries during each starting day and the late registration remains open for the first eleven levels, two levels into Day 2 on Sunday, January 23. The tournament concludes on January 25 and the PokerNews live reporting team will be on the floor from start to finish.
