2024 World Series of Poker Circuit Playground Main Event Begins at 11 a.m.
Welcome to the 2024 World Series of Poker Circuit Playground on the outskirts of Montreal, Quebec as it is time for Event #9: $1,700 Main Event. This is the ninth event out of 15 at this WSOP circuit stop at what has been a busy week of poker already.
The last time this circuit event was played at Playground Poker Club was back in April of this year. The event attracted a big field of 1,600 and played all the way down to a winner which ended up being Dustin Melanson of Brampton, Ontario who took home the grand prize of $339,770.

The Main Event will be played over three starting flights, with the first being today at 11 a.m. Day 1b is Friday at 11 a.m. and finally Day 1c will be at the same time on Saturday. The schedule calls for each Day 1 to play down to 10% before bagging up for the night. The players who survive each Day 1 flight will then converge for Day 2, which is scheduled for Sunday at 11 a.m. The final day of action is Monday, where the winner will ultimately br crowned.
Players start with 40,000 in tournament chips. Registration and re-entry is open through the start of Level 13 on each Day 1 (~ 8:30 p.m.). Levels are 40 minutes with a break coming every three levels. There is a 45-minute dinner break following the end of Level 9.
