The Day's Action

The virtual cards were in the air at 2pm Eastern time, and it only took a couple of hours to be certain the guarantee would fall. By the time registration closed after 240 minutes, 3,297 runners had taken a shot, building a prize pool of $659,400.

There were around 900 stacks still in action when the gates came down on entry, and they played down to the money very quickly. Within an hour, they were paying busted players the minimum cash of $199.

Sergey Rybachenko was one of the familiar names to make it into the money. He has a strong run after the bubble burst, building a top ten stack at one point, but ultimately he ran into aces with ace-queen, and ended up cashing for a few hundred plus bounties.

Final Table for Event #11

It was close to 1am Eastern time when they finally sat the final table. It didn't take long for "Smart10" to become the first casualty when two pair wasn't enough against the trip tens of "PaiTaSafe!". They played eight-handed for about 30 minutes before "PaiTaSafe!" ended their day in 8th place when the king-jack of "eFJey" got there against their ace-ten.

Four bustouts then followed in short order. "amirc328" found themselves with a dominated ace for 7th place, as did "rlsz" shortly after for 6th place. "Simpy_The_Best" couldn't find a hold with ace-nine against the king-ten of "NeverGambol" and ended 5th, while "OtterPop" got their small stack in suited, but ran into the pocket eights of "jackwu9011123".

"eFJey" went down in 3rd a few minutes later when they couldn't win a race with their ace-king against the fives of "jackwu9011123", and that set up a great heads up match. "jackwu9011123" came into it with a solid lead, but "NeverGambol" held on, and eventually chipped back up into the lead when they won a race with king-queen over nines. "jackwu9011123" wasn't going anywhere though, and they surged back with a double of their own and retook the lead.

They seesawed a couple of times, handing the lead back and forth before "jackwu9011123" got their slightly smaller stack in, but woke up in a pair under pair cooler with fours way behind the queens of "NeverGambol". The queens held, and "NeverGambol" became the newest owner of a World Series of Poker Circuit Ring.

PokerNews will be back on the virtual floor for Event #14: Deepstack Bounty Hunters $500K Gtd on May 26th.
