Less than a month after unveiling Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier as an official Ambassador, GGPoker have unveiled German all-time money list leader Fedor Holz as their latest brand ambassador.
The side has partnered with the training site and community Pokercode with its members receiving additional GGPoker promotions when they register at GGPoker using the code "pokercode", distributing adding value to the community.
The 2020 GGPoker WSOP Online Super Circuit has seen some big events with massive guarantees. None quite reach the dizzying heights of today's Event #8: High Roller Championship $10M Gtd however. There will be a whopping $10 million guaranteed in this one, but you'll have to dig $25,000 out of your couch cushions to enter.
High roller events always draw the biggest names from the poker world and beyond, and Event 8 is no exception. With a few hours to go before the first hand is dealt, there are already a number of familiar names on the list. Among the early entries are GGPoker sponsored players like Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Fedor Holz, Felipe Ramos, Michael Soyza, Fedor Kruse, and Boris Becker. While most that on list are known for their poker skills, Becker has been better known for his skills on a different kind of green surface, the tennis court. But the Grand Slam winner has also shown he can play on green felt almost as well as green grass, after he held the chip lead for awhile, and went on to a decent cash in the opening event of this series.
Other players in the mix today include the winner of the opening event, "TheMadQueen", who already took more than $250,000 in prizes from Event #1. Another winner in play today is the winner of Event #5, Rodrigo "BlaireauEnColere" Seiji, as well as a few other recognizable names such as Markus "_PrinzOfDTO_" Prinz, and Kristen "krissyb24" Bicknell.
High roller action kicks off at 2pm Eastern time today, and PokerNews will be there to follow the action and report back on big hands and chip stacks throughout the day.
