Hand #16 - Phil Hellmuth Doubles Through Brett Richey

Hand #16 - Dustin Holmes has the button in seat 4, Hellmuth min-raises to 40,000, Richey moves all in from the big blind, and Hellmuth immediately calls with {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}. Richey shows {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, and Hellmuth is a big favorite to double up here.

Phil Ivey yells, "Phil, do you want insurance?" Hellmuth responds, "Yes! I do!" And he jogs over to Ivey in the stands to negotiate. He returns to the table and says to his wife, "Honey! I just insured the hand! If I lose the pot, Ivey has to pay me $90,000!"

The flop comes {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and Richey needs to hit something runner-runner to bust Hellmuth here.

The turn card is the {K-Spades}, and Richey is drawing dead. The meaningless river card is the {K-Clubs}, and Hellmuth wins the pot with kings full of aces to double up in chips.

Hellmuth, who was standing while the community cards were shown, takes his seat at the table and proudly says, "There's the rest of the world, and there's me."

Hand #15

Hand #15 - Ben Fineman has the button in seat 3, Hellmuth raises from late position to 50,000, and Fineman moves all in from the button. Everyone else quickly folds, and the action is back on Hellmuth, who would have his tournament life -- and tying Cloutier's final table record -- on the line if he calls. He thinks for about two minutes, studying Fineman, before he folds. Fineman takes the pot.

Hand #14

Hand #14 - Luke Vrable has the button in seat 2, Fineman limps for 20,000 from the small blind, and Holmes checks his option. The flop comes {9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Fineman checks, Holmes bets 30,000, and Fineman folds. Holmes takes the pot.

Hand #13

Hand #13 - Phil Hellmuth has the button in seat 1, and Corbin moves all in from middle position for 102,000, winning the blinds and antes.

An Unusual Bubble

Usually, the 10th-place finisher marks the final table bubble, or the TV bubble, or some kind of bubble. But since all ten players are being taped by ESPN at the same table, none of that really applies today.

Hand #11

Hand #11 - Perry Friedman has the button in seat 9, Vrable raises under the gun to 55,000, Fineman moves all in for 236,000 from early position, and Vrable folds. Fineman takes the pot.

Hellmuth finally received his Pro Player Energy Drink, which he's had for every day of the World Series. It sounds like he was required to put it in a Milwaukee's Best cup, however.
