Last 10 Hands: 41-50

It appeared that action slowed down over Hands #41 through #49. There were not any bustouts and there was very little chip movement. On Hands #41 through #47, there was not one single flop. The pre-flop raiser took down the pot. There was a flop on Hand #48, when Jerry Yang took that down.

On Hand #50, Alex Kravchenko moved all in from UTG and Rain Khan shoved all in from his small blind. It was a classic race. Alas, Kravchenko won it when he flopped a Jack to double up. Khan and Kravchenko are both the short stacks. Jerry Yang is still the chipleader.

Hand #50 - Alex Kravchenko Doubles Through Hevad 'Rain' Khan

Alex Kravchenko

Hand #50 - Jon Kalmar has the button in seat 8, Alex Kravchenko moves all in under the gun for 2.66 million, Hevad 'Rain' Khan moves all in over the top from the small blind, and Raymond Rahme folds the big blind.

Kravchenko shows {K-Spades}{J-Spades}, and Khan shows {3-Spades}{3-Hearts} -- it's a race situation, and Kravchenko needs to improve to survive. (Raymond Rahme walks over to his fans to tell them he folded A-Q.)

The flop comes {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and a big part of the crowd loudly cheers as Kravchenko flops a pair of jacks to take the lead.

The turn card is the {A-Hearts}, and Khan needs a three to bust Kravchenko here.

The river card is the {4-Diamonds}, and the Russian fans cheer and break into song as Kravchenko wins the pot with a pair of jacks to double up to 5.86 million in chips. Khan is knocked down to 6.715 million.

Hand #48 - Jerry Yang

Hand #48 - Jerry Yang has the button in seat 4, he raises to 1.2 million, and Jon Kalmar calls from the big blind. The flop comes {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts}, Kalmar checks, Yang bets 2 million, and Kalmar calls. There is now 6.79 million in the pot.

The turn card is the {7-Diamonds}, Kalmar checks, Yang bets 5 million, and Kalmar folds. Jerry Yang takes the pot.

Side note: Tournament Director Jack Effel accidentally announced that Kalmar called Yang's 5 million bet, and Yang looked shocked as he held on to his cards, until Effel corrected himself.
