Dan Shak Eliminated
Apparently, the hand that crippled him was pocket fives. After a flop of J-9-7, his opponent moved all in, and Shak called with 5-5, putting his opponent on A-K. Well, he was half right, as his opponent had A-A. Shak never improved, and he took a big hit there.
Short-stacked, he made his stand with K-J, and another player called him with A-8. Shak never improved, and he was eliminated.
Dan Shak's wife Beth reached a final table this year, finishing second. Dan was one of the co-winners of the charity tournament for Darfur, and he donated 100% of his winnings to the charity.
