Player Profiles: Bill Edler
Gavin Smith nicknamed Bill Edler "The Stunning One."
Edler might be one of the best players that you never heard about. He's also considered one of the nicest guys on the tournament circuit.
Edler earned a degree in law after attending UC-Berkeley.
Edler won his first WSOP bracelet in 2007. He won the $5,000 NL Short-handed event. He beat Alex Bolotin heads up after coming from behind as one of the short stacks at the starting table.
Edler drinks a lot of coffee while he plays. That might be one of his biggest vices.
Edler's grandmother taught him how to play card games. After he won a $10,000 heads-up event at Crystal Park Casino Hotel in February, he dedicated his victory to his grandmother who just turned 100 years young. Edler beat Barry Greenstein heads up for that win.
Edler has won more that $2.2 million in career tournament earnings.
