Pappas Mia! Greg Going Down

After starting the day on a second-place 304,000, Greg Pappas has had a rough time of it and now finds himself on just 170,000.

Most of the damage was done by chip monster Farzad Rouhani in a massive stud 8 hand. On sixth street, with {Q-Hearts} {3-Spades} {3-Clubs} {7-Spades} up for Pappas and {5-Hearts} {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} {K-Spades} up for Rouhani, Rouhani laughed good-naturedly as Pappas raised him. "Are you still betting?" he said, as he reraised him. More chips in the middle come seventh street, and eventually Pappas flipped {Q-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {4-Hearts} for two pair, and Rouhani scooped the lot with {Q-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} X for a better two pair. Rouhani steams ahead on well over 600,000.

Pappas, now apparently demoralized, dropped a few more chips on the very next hand, calling his bets until fifth street with {4-Spades} {7-Spades} {9-Diamonds} up against Zhu's {7-Clubs} {A-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} before deciding to give it up, and then he lost a few more chips the hand after that to Michael Mizrachi. Pappas now down to 170,000.
