After a hectic day that saw 223 of an original 1,881 Day 1b starters survive through to the end of the day's action, David Bach emerged as the chip leader of the session. Bach bagged up 115,400 in chips, slightyl ahead of Alan Puzantyan's 111,400. Bach and Puzantyan were the only two players able to stay above the 100,000-chip plateau by the end of the day.
