Singer Accumulates

David Singer opened with a raise to 55,000 from under-the-gun before Matt Vengrin reraised an additional 100,000. The action folded to Singer who quickly announced he was all in. Vengrin mucked his cards and Singer collects a nice pot without a showdown to move to 540,000.

Singer Still Not Happy

The relocated final table, in the middle of the green section, has received a lot of traffic with people walking past and lingering around as it's in the middle of one of the other big events.

David Singer was unhappy with the amount of people walking behind him so the table has now been roped off on all sides, making life difficult for your faithful reporters to gain easy access to the table. Play continues and we'll do our best to provide regular updates.

It's a Zoo

We are definitely at a new table, but the table is in the middle of a bunch of other tournament tables. That tournament just went on a break and it was next to impossible to move around. Players, spectators, and media were all around the table. Finally, security had to be brought in to kick everyone but the media out. At one point there were 50 people hovering around the table inside the rail.

Doan Recovers

The action folded to David Singer on the button, who opened with a raise to 51,000. Thuy Doan then quickly moved all in from the small blind for 278,000. John Phan thought long and hard in the big blind before folding, as did Singer.

Doan takes down the pot with a nice 3-bet push to get back to around 340,000 in chips.

Phan Doubles through Neckar

Johnny Neckar opened the action with a raise from under the gun to 55,000. The action folded around to John Phan on the button who took a long time with his decision before declaring that he was all in.

The blinds folded and Neckar went into the tank. It was an additional 262,000 to call, and Neckar slowly cut down the chips and slid them into the middle.

Neckar: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Phan: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

It was a classic race that was all but over when the flop came {10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Phan jumped out of his chair and clapped his hands in delight at flopping the stone cold nuts. The turn was the {9-Hearts} and river {3-Hearts}, and Phan doubled up to over 600,000, much to the disappointment of Neckar, who is left with with about 400,000.

Don't Steal John Phan's Blind

Thuy Doan raised from the button for 62,000. John Phan went into the tank for about three minutes before going all in for approximately 180,000 more. Doan instantly mucked her hand. After the hand Phan said, "You're always raising my blind. That's what you get when you keep raising my blind."

Game Paused

There is a slight delay as the players have been relocated to a new table in the green section of the Amazon Room.

We overheard David Singer was unhappy about the lighting at the previous table so we assume that was the reason for the move. The players also now have access to view a tournament clock.

Play will recommence shortly.

Phan Forced To Fold Again

John Phan raised his second hand in succession, this time from under the gun, making it 40,000 to go. Matt Vengrin was next to speak and quickly reraised an additional 111,000. The action folded around to Phan who again was forced to a big decision.

He deliberated for several minutes before folding {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} face up. That's the third pocket pair he's folded without seeing a flop at this final table. Phan is now on the short stack and although he's not desperate yet, he's going to have to make a stand sometime soon.

Tony Dunst Eliminated in Eighth Place ($54,344)

Tony Dunst - 8th Place
Tony Dunst - 8th Place
Matt Vengrin raised under the gun to 40,000. Action was folded around to Tony Dunst who went all for 160,000 total. Vengrin made the call.

Dunst: {K-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}
Vengrin: {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs}

The flop came {10-Diamonds} {7-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds}. Both players hit this one hard. Vengrin hit a pair and a straight draw and Dunst picked up a flush draw to go with his kings. The turn came the {J-Hearts} which filled out Vengrin's straight. Only a diamond would save Vengrin from elimination. The {10-Spades} fell on the river and Dunst finishes today's event in eighth place.
