Defending champion Mike Spegal is jumping for joy with a healthy stack of 5,200 after grabbing a small slice of luck that all players will need if they are to win this event. On their backs, Mike was in spot of bother with queens against those American Airlines, but a flopped queen later and Mike was as happy as Larry, whoever Larry might be (King, perhaps?).

In the aftermath, 'Fossilman' Greg Raymer quipped, "So that's how you win this tournament." Belly laughs aplenty ensued.
