Tex Barch Is Eliminated in 17th Place ($25,615)

In his penultimate hand Tex Barch and J.C. Tran capped the betting before the {6-Spades} {6-Hearts} {2-Spades} flop. Tran check-raised and Barch responded by reraising as well. Tran called, and again check-raised when the {K-Spades} turned. Barch just called this time, and called Tran's bet when the {Q-Spades} fell on the river. Tran turned over {A-Spades} {6-Spades} and Barch tossed his cards aside.

That hand left him with just 4,000 and he was all in on the next hand after Jerrod Ankenman bet. Tran was again involved in the hand, tossing in a raise that Ankenman called. The flop came {10-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}, Ankenman checked, Tran bet and Ankenman raised. Tran called, and called Ankeman's bets after the {8-Diamonds} came on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river.

Ankenman turned over {A-Diamonds} {10-Spades} and Barch slapped his A-Q on the table when he saw he'd been beaten. That first hand put Tran up to 415,000, the second pushed Ankenman's stack up to 340,000, and the combination sent Tex Barch out in 17th place.
