After seeing their pal Rene Mouritsen take down a big pot yesterday with king-seven, or king with the axe, all of the Danes have showed up today with crowns and axes!
If you look at the picture closely, you might recognize one Jesper Hoagaard who won a bracelet earlier this summer in Event 36, a $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event.
Flop: . Mouritsen bets out 150,000. Iversen makes the call.
Turn: . Mouritsen checks, as does Iversen.
River: . Mouritsen checks again, and Iversen comes out with a bet of 281,000. Mouritsen quickly calls. Iversen shows the , and will win the pot with two pair. From the rail, one of their supporters says, "Danish on Danish violence," as the two fellow countrymen trade a few chips.
The two men see the flop come , and both players check.
Turn: . Iversen checks again, and Greenwood counts out a bet. He puts in 85,000, and Iversen quickly says, "Raise." He reaches for chips, stacking up 220,000 chips, and ships them into the pot. Greenwood makes the call.
River: . Iversen bets all in with his big stack, and Greenwood looks flustered. After a short moment, he reaches for his chips in a bluff move, trying to pick up a read. He sits with his elbow on the rail, propping his head up as he shuffles a stack of chips, deep in thought. Finally, he does fold, and Iversen takes the pot.
