Hand #84-- Jeff Williams

Alan Jaffray raised to 72,000 from the cutoff and Lyric Duveyoung called on the button. Michael Banducci folded and from the big blind Jeff Williams announced a reraise. He popped to 230,000, Jaffray and Duveyoung laid it down, and Williams raked in a tidy pot.

Hand #83-- Jeff Williams Eliminates Jonathan Aguiar (6th place, $130,234)

Jonathan Aguiar
Jonathan Aguiar
Jonathan Aguiar pushed in what was left of his stack (it was actually 113,000) and Jeff Williams called. Alan Jaffray folded and Peter Gould also called.

The flop came {8-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {10-Hearts}, Williams and Gould checked, and they checked the turn of {8-Hearts}. Williams bet 30,000 when the {J-Clubs} hit on the river and Gould folded, and that jack spelled the end of Aguiar's day as Williams turned over {K-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} to Aguiar's {A-Clubs} {7-Clubs}. Jonathan Aguiar finishes in sixth place and wins $130,234.

Hand #82-- Peter Gould Doubles Through Jonathan Aguiar

Jonathan Aguiar raised to 81,000 from UTG+1 and Peter Gould thought a time before moving all in. Aguiar instantly called and turned over {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} to Gould's {5-Clubs} {5-Spades}. Aguiar had Gould barely covered and they saw a {7-Spades} {7-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} flop, opening the possibility that Gould's pocket pair would be counterfeited.

That is, until the {5-Hearts} fell on the turn, leaving Aguiar drawing dead. The meaningless {8-Hearts} on the river meant nothing and Gould doubled up to around 1.2 million. Losing that hand crippled Aguiar and left hime with around 150,000.

Half the Room Cheered, the Other Half Sighed

With a flop of two clubs, and Alan Jaffray holding the {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}, the EPSN area seemed to be completely divided in half as to how they wanted the hand to play out.

The first half, supporters of Jaffray, definitely wanted a third club to fall on the board. The other half, without a doubt, were calling for any non-paint red card. Were these haters of Jaffray? Most likely not, as most here seem anxious for a bust-out.

Play here has certainly not been fast nor furious, so it's understandable that the crowd wants someone to be eliminated. At this point, most of them will settle for anyone.

When the {8-Clubs} fell on the river, half the room cheered while everyone else sighed heavily. It's going to be awhile.

Hand #81-- Alan Jaffray Doubles Up Through Peter Gould

After the action was folded around, Alan Jaffray called in the small blind, Peter Gould raised from the big, Jaffray moved in and Gould called. He showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} to Jaffray's {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs}. The flop of {2-Clubs} {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} gave Jaffray a flush draw but the {6-Hearts} brought no help. But on the river, the {8-Clubs}, giving Jaffray the flush and the double-up to around 1.1 million.
