Duke All In But Survives

Annie Duke just got all her chips in on a {2-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {8-Clubs} flop against John Monnette.

Duke {K-Hearts} {K-Spades} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades}
Monnette {Q-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {3-Hearts}

Things were looking bad for Duke, but she hit a low hand on the {6-Diamonds} turn and had to put up with half as her straight draw never got there on the {6-Clubs} river.

Chip Counts

These counts are fairly rough, since we can't get too close to the table while they're filming.

Scott Clements - 1,445,000
John Monnette - 1,100,000
Daniel Alaei - 725,000
Daniel Negreanu - 700,000
Greg Jamison - 330,000
Ben Boyd - 310,000
Tom Koral - 270,000
Annie Duke - 260,000

Koral Sticks Around

Tom Koral got his chips into the middle against John Monnette, putting himself at risk of elimination.

Showdown
Koral: {A-Spades} {2-Hearts} {3-Diamonds} {6-Spades}
Monnette: {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {3-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Diamonds} {6-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. Koral's wheel was good for the low, while Monnette took the high half with his straight to the eight.

Yueqi Zhu Eliminated in 9th place ($54,179)

Yueqi Zhu  - 9th Place
Yueqi Zhu - 9th Place
Yueqi Zhu raised from early position and found callers from Daniel Alaei and Greg Jamison in the blinds. The flop came {9-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {9-Hearts} and Alaei bet, Jamison called, and Zhu moved all in. Call. Call. The turn {Q-Diamonds} saw Jamison all in and Alaei fold.

Jamison {A-?} {J-?} {9-?} {2-?}
Zhu {A-?} {K-?} {J-?} {7-?}

The river came {5-Clubs} to confirm we have our first final table exit.

Scooper!

Greg Jamison limped in under the gun, as did Daniel Negreanu from the cutoff and both blinds (Annie Duke and Daniel Alaei).

With four-way action, the flop revealed {J-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {10-Diamonds}. Annie Duke led out with a bet, Alaei folded, and Jamison called. Negreanu raised the table, and both opponents called.

Fourth street: {5-Hearts}. All three players checked.

Fifth street: {A-Hearts}. Duke and Jamison checked, and Negreanu put out a bet of 60,000. Duke considered for a few moments before folding, but Jamison flicked in the calling chips.

Negreanu showed up {K-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} {10-Clubs}. With the nut flush, he scooped up the full pot.

Daniel Boyd On

Ben Boyd opens the pot with a raise before Daniel Negreanu three-bets. Boyd calls to see a {K-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {10-Spades} flop. Boyd check-calls as he does on the {8-Clubs} turn and {4-Clubs} river.

Negreanu tables {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {10-Hearts} for the pot as Boyd mucks.

Clements Three-Barrels

Scott Clements
Scott Clements
John Monnette raised to open the pot. Yueqi Zhu (who we're now calling "Rich" as per his bio sheet) made the call, as did Scott Clements in the big blind.

Three-handed, the flop came out {3-Hearts} {J-Spades} {10-Spades}. Clements led out into the table with a bet. Monnette ducked out, but Zhu matched the 30,000.

Fourth street was the {Q-Hearts}, and Zhu called another bet from Clements. The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and one more bet. Zhu thought it over for a moment before giving up his hand. He has 105,000 chips left.

Technical Delay

There was slight technical problem causing a delay in action. A few minutes passed before the players became restless and insisted on play resuming. Player power told and we we're off again.

The first pot back ended in a chop between Scott Clements and Daniel Alaei.

Doubling Duke

Greg Jamison came in raising for the second hand in a row. Action folded around to the blinds, where both Scott Clements and Annie Duke called.

The flop came out {J-Diamonds} {9-Clubs} {4-Spades}. Clements led out into the pot with a bet, and Duke raised it up. That was enough to get Jamison out, but Clements came along to fourth street.

It was the {6-Clubs}, and Clements check-called a bet. On fifth street, the {6-Diamonds} paired the board. Clements checked again, and Duke moved her final 45,000 chips into the pot. After some hemming and hawing, Clements matched the bet, putting Duke at risk.

Showdown
Clements: {A-Hearts} {3-Clubs} {8-Spades} {9-Spades}
Duke: {J-Clubs} {J-Spades} {7-Clubs} {5-Spades}

Annie scooped up the pot with her jacks full, doubling up and then some. She's sitting with 480,000 now.
