A very curious hand indeed. With the board reading {10-?}

and a lot of chips in the pot already, Benny Champlin bet 100,000 and Brian Fitzpatrick went into the tank. When he came back out again, he called -- and turned over an astounding pocket eights. What's more astounding is that he was right -- Champlin could only boast pocket threes, and to some impressed whistling and mutterings of, "Nice call," around the table, Fitzpatrick moved on up to 800,000 while Champlin dropped to 685,000.

and he was up against {A-Diamonds}

Mihai Manole raised from UTG before Michael Greco moved all in from the button for 428,000 more. It was more than Manole had left but he called anyway with {A-Hearts}

and it was a race as Greco opened {10-Hearts}

The board ran {9-Diamonds}

to seal Manole exit and propel Greco up to 900,000.

Roberto Truijers Busts in 15th Place ($36,225)

Roberto Truijers raised to 73,000 under the gun and was met with a very tiny reraise to 142,000 from Andy Seth down the table. Everyone else passed and Truijers thought about it for some time before flatting.

Truijers checked the {Q-Spades}

flop and Seth bet 80,000. Truijers announced all in, and a snap call from Seth later they were on their backs.

No cigar for Truijers who exits in 15th place. Seth meanwhile is up to over 2.5 million -- almost a quarter of the chips in play.

Jaffray Pounding Lerman

Alan Jaffray has just taken two pots back-to-back off David Lerman and both while out of position in the blinds.

The first saw Jaffray call a raise and a continuation bet before leading out and forcing a fold when the turn came to give us a {9-Clubs}

board.

The second saw Lerman raise once more only for Jaffray to slide over a green one million stack of chips. Lerman folded {A-?}

face-up and swore he wont go broke on that hand. He's been cut down to 380,000 now.
